The Winter Opener London presented by The Ski Club of Great Britain

 

After three years of hosting The Winter Opener in Edinburgh we are expanding to London to spread the skills, inspiration and community to get you ready for the coming ski season.  

The event consists of backcountry workshops and an evening of films, talks and inspiration for adventure.

We have invited along some of the brightest and best in the UK snowsports community to serve up an evening of inspiration, stories, photos and films. You will get the chance to meet up with friends old and new, sharpen up on your essential backcountry skills and dream about the cold and snowy winter ahead of us.

 DAYTIME WORKSHOPS - 1030am - 4pm - £45 - Richmond Park, Roehampton Gate Entrance

EVENING OF FILMS AND INSPIRATION - £15 - 7pm - 1130pm (doors 630pm) - Battersea Arts Centre, The Grand Hall

(only 8 min walk from Clapham Junction Station)

Learn new skills and sharpen up your old ones. Over the day you will take part in three different sessions covering key aspects of backcountry snowsports. By the end of it you should have refreshed your skill set, learnt a few new tricks and met a bunch of new skier/snowboarder/telemarker friends!

The sessions will all be lead be a selection of some of Scotland's most experienced guides/instructors and coaches so book today to guarantee your place!

Workshop Details - 90 minutes each, groups will rotate round each workshop, we will break for lunch somewhere local to the venue

Directions

Nearest main line station is Clapham Junction which is a short 8-10 minute walk from the Venue.

For a timetable of services that run into Clapham Junction please click here. Clapham Junction is approx.  1 hour train journey  from Brighton & 30 minutes train from Gatwick Airport. 

Trains run regularly from Clapham Junction to Waterloo & Victoria run every couple of minutes. Journey time approx. 6 – 10 minutes.
