Saturday the 4th April course will be run by Jakob (07931 435198)
Courses will start from Cairngorm Mountain Resort. We will meet you at the picnic tables at the end of the lower Cas car park (scroll down for more details about car parks). Please meet us there at 8:30am. We will likely be using the funicular train to start the tour up high, thus costs £19. We do not have ski touring skis available.
SUNDAY 5th APRIL - COURSE CANCELLED - STORM DAVE
During busy periods the car park tends to fill up quickly so you need to arrive by about 8:20am to make sure you get parked. If you need to borrow touring skis and skins please come to us at 8:30am with one boot and introduce yourself. Please remember we do not provide ski boots or ski poles as part of the rental. Please let your instructor know on the day if you require a transceiver, shovel and probe (these were allocated to you at time of booking if you said you did not have them). Please also let your instructor on the day know if you don’t have ski crampons for your skis (ours come with them).
If you are arriving by bus, please let us know, as the bus arrives at 8:45am (we will get the equipment ready for you, just walk to the car park and find us).
Occasionally we may choose to purchase ski touring passes to skip the first ascent. This gets us through the ski centre quickly and gives us more time and energy to enjoy more of the backcountry terrain. The cost would be ~ £19 and we would invoice you after the course. This will be discussed at the start of the day if it is an option. This will be necessary for late season courses when the snowline is high.
If the ski road is shut at the snow gates then we will meet at the car park just before the snow gates and make a new plan.
If you are running late, or you can’t find us, please call or text Jakob on +44 7931 435198
